FYP is a large program and uses a ridiculously large number of books. Big boxes full of books are, understandably, quite heavy and thus costly to ship. As such, to save money, most people prefer to have us hold onto the books here at the bookstore. We can also ship a part of an order and hold the rest, or ship the whole thing- it's up to you.
If you would like us to hang onto all or part of an order, please mention it in the 'Comments' box that appears at the end of the ordering process. We'll pack your order and squirrel it away in our storage unit until you come for it. |

FYP Texts Not Required for Science Students |
|
Saturday, 04 July 2009 15:18 |
|
If you're a science student (that is, Dalhousie Science, not HOST) who is also taking FYP (the 3-credit version), there are certain books that you won't be required to read or attend lectures for. These books are:
Complete Greek Tragedies: Sophocles I A Presoratics Reader Christopher Marlowe, Dr. Faustus William Shakespeare, Othello Francis Bacon, Selected Philosophical Works W.E.B. DuBois, The Souls of Black Folk Madame de Lafayette, The Princesse de Cleves Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Don Giovanni Mary Shelley, Frankenstein Charles Baudelaire, The Flowers of Evil S. Beckett, Krapp's Last Tape
T.S. Eliot, The Waste Land and Other Poems W. G. Sebald, The Emigrants B. Brecht, Mother Courage and her Children S. Beckett, Krapp's Last Tape
So, if you're a science student and you're ordering your books, don't order the above. If you're ordering a bundle, please include in the comment box at the end of the ordering process that you're a science student, and we'll leave these books off your order.
Again, this is a notice for students enrolled in the 3-credit science version of FYP and does not apply to King's History of Science students. |
